It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or conduct any billiard or pool hall, dance, fair or floor show without first having obtained a license therefor.
All applications for licenses under this chapter shall be heard and determined by the Town Council.
The fee for a license to operate a billiard or pool hall shall be $15 per table, per year.
The fee for a license to conduct a dance shall be $2. Each license so issued shall be for a twenty-four-hour period; provided, however, that the Town Council, in its discretion, may grant, upon application therefor, a yearly license to persons conducting dances on a regular basis. The fee for a yearly license shall be $50 per year.
A fee for a license to conduct a dance may be waived, in the discretion of the Town Council, where the dance is conducted for the benefit of charity.
It shall be unlawful for a holder of an alcoholic beverage license to permit dancing within the licensed premises, unless a proper license shall have been obtained, in accordance with this chapter, from the Town Council.
The fee for a license to operate a fair shall be $50; provided, however, that such fee may be waived, in the discretion of the Town Council, when the proceeds of the fair are for charity.

A. 
The fee for an entertainment license shall be $10 for each twenty-four-hour period. Alternatively, the Town Council may, in its discretion, grant an annual license in the amount of $50 provided that the licensee upon application specifies the dates, times and nature of all events to be held during the term of the license. License fees may be waived in the discretion of the Town Council, when the event is conducted for charity.
B. 
“Entertainment” as used herein shall be deemed to include but not be limited to acts, floor shows, contests, exhibitions, routines, performances and all forms of live entertainment professional or amateur not otherwise regulated by this Code which are held in commercial establishments or public or private halls or places of assembly.
All fees for licenses issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be paid to the Finance Director. The Town Clerk shall issue all licenses required hereunder upon approval of the application by the Town Council.
A recording fee shall be set from time to time by the Town Council and shall be paid to the Town Clerk for each license issued under the provisions of this chapter.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be fined in accordance with state law.[1]
