§ 48-1 Legal status; general powers.

A. 
Legal status. The Town of Cedarburg is a body corporate and politic, with those powers granted by law. The Town shall be designated in all actions and proceedings by its name, as the Town of Cedarburg.
B. 
General Town powers. The Town may:
(1) 
Sue and be sued.
(2) 
Acquire and hold real and personal property for public use and convey and dispose of the property.
(3) 
Enter into contracts necessary for the exercise of its corporate powers.

§ 48-2 Village powers.

The Town Meeting having, by resolution, directed the Town Board to exercise all powers relating to villages and conferred on village boards by Ch. 61, Wis. Stats., the Town shall have said powers through its Board.

§ 48-3 Voter registration.

A. 
Pursuant to the provisions of § 6.27, Wis. Stats., the Town of Cedarburg elects that registration shall be required for all primaries and elections in the Town of Cedarburg.
B. 
The Town Clerk of the Town of Cedarburg shall forthwith certify this action to the County Clerk and to the Secretary of State.

§ 48-4 Polling places.

A. 
The polling place for Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3 and Ward 4 shall be the Cedarburg Town Hall, 1293 Highway 143, Town of Cedarburg.
B. 
The polling place for Ward 5, Ward 6, Ward 7, Ward 8, Ward 9 and Ward 10 shall be Fire Station Number 2, located at 1350 Covered Bridge Road, Town of Cedarburg.

§ 48-5 Election poll hours; workers.

A. 
Poll hours. The voting polls in the Town of Cedarburg, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, shall be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for all elections.
B. 
Number of poll workers. The Town Clerk is authorized to determine the number of poll workers needed on election days.

§ 48-6 Wards; combining wards for elections.

Wards established.

(1) 
The Town of Cedarburg shall be divided into 10 wards as follows:

(a) 
Ward 1. All of Section 20; all Town lands in Section 21; all Town lands in Section 22; all Town lands in Section 28; all Town lands in Section 27; the strip of land in the northwest (NW) 1/4 of Section 23 connecting and running south along Cedar Creek; plus Town lands in the southwest (SW) 1/4 of Section 23.
(b) 
Ward 2. All of Section 18; all of Section 19; the north (N) half of Section 29 plus lands in the south (S) half of Section 29 that are north (N) of Crestview Drive and west (W) of Starlet Drive; and the north (N) half of Section 30 plus lands that are in the south (S) half of Section 30 that are north (N) of Crestview Drive and east (E) of Westridge Drive.
(c) 
Ward 3. The south (S) half of Section 29 except that part north (N) of Crestview Drive and west (W) of Starlet Drive; the south half of Section 30 except that part north (N) of Crestview Drive and east (E) of Westridge Drive; all of Section 31; all of Section 32; all Town lands in Section 33; and all Town lands in Section 34.
(d) 
Ward 4. That part of the Town of Cedarburg lying in Sections 26 and 35.
(e) 
Ward 5. That part of Section 15 lying south (S) of Cedar Creek; Section 16, except that part west (W) of Washington Avenue; that part of Section 9 west (W) of Cedar Creek, south (S) of Kaehlers Mill Road, and east (E) of Horns Corners Road; and that part of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 10 south of Cedar Creek.
(f) 
Ward 6. The west (W) part of Section 6 lying north of CTH NN; and those parts of Sections 6, 7, 8 and 9 lying south (S) and west (W) of Washington Avenue.
(g) 
Ward 7. That part of Section 4 lying south (S) of Hilly Lane and west (W) of Lofty Lane; those parts of Sections 5, 6, 7 and 8 lying north (N) and east (E) of Washington Avenue; that part of Section 9 lying north (N) of Kaehlers Mill Road and Horns Corners Road; all of Section 10 except that part in the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter to the south of Cedar Creek; and that part of Section 15 lying north (N) of Cedar Creek.
(h) 
Ward 8. All of Sections 2 and 3, and all of Section 4, except that part south (S) of Hilly Lane and west (W) of Lofty Lane.
(i) 
Ward 9. That part of the Section 23 lying east (E) of Cedar Creek and north (N) and east (E) of the corporate limits of the Village of Grafton; all Town lands in Section 14 and all of Section 11.
(j) 
Ward 10. All of Section 17, and all of Section 16 lying west (W) of Washington Avenue.
(2) 
All of the above being in Township 10 North, Range 21 East.
B. 
Combining wards for elections.
(1) 
The wards in the Town of Cedarburg shall be combined as follows:
(a) 
Wards 1 and 2.

Wards 3 and 4.
(c) 
Wards 5, 6 and 10.

(d) 
Wards 7, 8 and 9.
(2) 
The combined wards shall use common ballot boxes and ballots, and separate returns shall not be maintained for the combined wards at any election, but separate ballot boxes and ballots shall be maintained for each separate ballot required under §§ 5.58 to 5.64, Wis. Stats.

§ 48-7 County Supervisor Districts.

Town wards shall be formed into County Supervisor Districts as follows:
A. 
District 9. Wards 6, 7, 8 and 9 will be combined with wards from the Town of Grafton to form County Supervisor District 9.
B. 
District 10. Ward 4 will be combined with wards from the Town of Grafton to form County Supervisor District 10.
C. 
District 11. Wards 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 will form County Supervisor District 11.
