Green Lake County, WI Article VII Unlawful Use of Telephone

§ 192-21 Prohibited acts.

No person shall:

A. With intent to frighten, intimidate, threaten, abuse, or harass, make a telephone call and threaten to inflict injury or physical harm to any person or the property of any person.

B. With intent to frighten, intimidate, threaten, abuse, harass or offend, telephone another and use any obscene, lewd or profane language or suggest any lewd or lascivious act.

C. Make or cause the telephone of another repeatedly to ring, with the intent to harass any person at the called number.

D. Make repeated telephone calls, whether or not conversation ensues, with intent solely to harass any person at the called number.

E. Make a telephone call, whether or not conversation ensues, without disclosing his or her identity and with intent to abuse, threaten or harass any person at the called number.

F. Knowingly permit any telephone under his or her control to be used for any purpose prohibited by this article.

G. Call 911 for a nonemergency situation or a false emergency situation.

§ 192-22 Violations and penalties.

Any person who violates § 192-21 is subject to a forfeiture (exclusive of costs) of not less than $30 and not more than $500.
