GENERAL REFERENCES
Residency requirements — See Ch. 46.
The Township of Penn shall appoint an independent auditor for the audit of its accounts, who shall be a certified public accountant registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants so registered or a competent public accountant or a competent firm of public accountants.
Said independent auditor shall be appointed annually, by resolution, before the close of the fiscal year, said independent auditor to make an independent examination of all of the accounts and accounting records of the Township of Penn for the fiscal year then closing.
Said appointment shall be made at least 30 days prior to the close of the fiscal year.
Said independent auditor shall have and possess all powers and perform all duties necessary for the proper audit of the accounts of the Township of Penn.
Compensation for said independent auditor shall be fixed by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Penn.
The office of elected auditor is hereby abolished.
