There shall be a Marine Affairs Advisory Agency consisting of five members, with three being appointed by the Mayor and two being appointed by the Council. Members shall serve for a term of one year without compensation.
A. 
The Agency shall promote and foster the development and growth of the harbors and waterways of the Township, coordinating with various state, local and federal agencies having partial or concurrent jurisdiction over the harbors, waterways, navigable streams, rivers and bodies of water within or adjacent to the Township.
B. 
The Agency shall recommend to the Mayor and Council programs designed to protect, enhance, utilize and otherwise develop the lakes, rivers, streams, waterways and harbors of the Township, and recommend applications for state and/or federal aid money when available to promote the purposes of the Agency and of the Township.
The Agency shall recommend to the Mayor and Council, from time to time, such rules, regulations and standards as the Agency may from time to time deem advisable to be adopted in the Township to further the development of marine affairs.
