A. No person shall park a vehicle in the municipal areas designated in §
232-58 from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. each day, Saturdays, Sundays and federal and state legal holidays excepted, without complying with the provisions of this chapter.

B. Applications for permission shall be made through an online permit
management system.

C. Daily and monthly fees to park shall apply as prescribed in Chapter
94 of this Code.

D. A parking space is not guaranteed.
E. Resident and nonresident vehicles shall be parked in their designated
spaces.
F. If an actual permit document is issued it must be displayed in the
vehicle as prescribed by the issuing authority.

A. Anyone who willfully falsifies the information given on the application required herein or who fraudulently obtains permission to park shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter
1, Article
III.
B. Any person who violates the other provisions of this article shall be subject to a fine as prescribed in §
232-3 of this Code.
C. Any person who parks in violation of this article may be subject
to having his or her vehicle towed to a place designated by the Chief
of Police and be liable for towing and storage charges in accordance
with law.

A. There is hereby established municipal parking areas
for designated parking in the following blocks and lots:
(1) Lot A - Block 5706, Lot 21. (Parking area contiguous
to premises known as the "Fair Lawn Athletic Club," located on the
corner of Parmelee Avenue and Bergen Avenue, consisting of 24 spaces.)
(2) Lot B - Block 5709.01, Lot 1. (Parking area located
at premises known as "9-01 Bergen Avenue," directly north of parking
area contiguous to Municipal Building, consisting of 46 spaces.)
(3) Lot C - Block 5712, Lot 1. (Parking area contiguous
to premises known as the "Municipal Building," located at 8-01 Fair
Lawn Avenue, consisting of 130 spaces.)
B. Lines, markings and posting of signs.
(1) Suitable lines or markings shall be provided upon
the surface of each parking area to denote and designate each delineated
parking space.
(2) Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained to
designate permitted parking for the respective parking spaces.
C. No vehicle shall park in Block 5706, Lot 21; Block
5712, Lot 1; and in Block 5709.01, Lot 1, except as expressly set
forth herein.
D. Regulations applying to overnight parking in Block
5706, Lot 21; Block 5712 Lot 1; and in Block 5709.01, Lot 1. "Overnight
parking" which is defined as commencing at 2:00 a.m. and terminating
at 5:00 a.m., is prohibited except as follows:
(1) Upon approval obtained in writing from the Borough
Manager or designee.
(2) Parking for attendees at a municipal function for
which registration is required, such as senior citizen trips or other
organizational functions.
E. Permitted parking.
(1) Parking in Block 5706, Lot 21; Block 5712, Lot 1; and Block 5709.01, Lot 1, shall be for members of the general public who are conducting business at the Municipal Building located at 8-01 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, or at the municipal library located at 10-1 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted, subject to the restrictions as set forth in Subsection
E(2) hereof relating to parking in Block 5712, Lot 1.
(2) Parking in Block 5712, Lot 1 (contiguous to premises
known as the "Municipal Building"), shall be designated as follows:
(a)
The row of designated parking spaces immediately
contiguous and parallel to Parmelee Avenue shall be permitted parking
as follows:

Commencing with the first southerly parking
space, the first three parking spaces in a northerly direction shall
be handicap parking.

The next 12 parking spaces in a northerly direction
shall be for members of the general public who are conducting business
at the Municipal Building or municipal library.
(b)
The next parallel row in a westerly direction
of designated parking spaces shall be permitted parking as follows:

Commencing with the first southerly parking
space, the first 13 parking spaces in a northerly direction shall
be for Police Department vehicles only.
[2]
The next six parking spaces in a northerly direction
shall be for members of the general public who are conducting business
at the Municipal Building or municipal library.
(c)
The next parallel row in a westerly direction
of designated parking spaces shall be permitted parking as follows:

Commencing with the first southerly parking
space, the first 10 parking spaces in a northerly direction shall
be for Police Department vehicles only.
[2]
The next eight parking spaces in a northerly
direction shall be for members of the general public who are conducting
business at the Municipal Building or municipal library.
(d)
The next parallel row in a westerly direction
of designated parking spaces shall be permitted parking as follows:

Commencing with the first southerly parking
space, the next 23 parking spaces in a northerly direction shall be
for Borough employee parking only.
(e)
The next parallel row in a westerly direction
of designated parking spaces shall be permitted parking as follows:

Commencing with the first southerly parking
space, the next 23 parking spaces in a northerly direction shall be
for Borough employee parking only.
(f)
The next parallel row in a westerly direction
of designated parking spaces shall be permitted parking as follows:

Commencing with the first southerly parking
space, the first three parking spaces in a northerly direction shall
be for the Fair Lawn Department of Public Works vehicles.
[2]
The next three parking spaces in a northerly
direction shall be for the vehicles of the Mayor, Borough Manager
and one Councilmember, respectively.
[3]
The next 13 parking spaces in a northerly direction
shall be for Borough of Fair Lawn vehicles.
[4]
The next seven parking spaces in a northerly
direction shall be for Borough employee parking only.
(g)
The six parking spaces immediately contiguous
on the north side of the Municipal Building shall be for Fair Lawn
Department of Public Works trucks.
(3) Parking in Block 5706, Lot 21; Block 5712, Lot 1; and Block 5709.01, Lot 1, shall also be permitted between the hours of 4:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for persons having business with the Borough of Fair Lawn, Fair Lawn Public Library or related to senior citizen activities, including but not limited to meetings and/or trips. During the aforesaid timeframes, the restrictions set forth in Subsection
E(2) above shall not apply except for the restrictions relating to the parking of Police Department only, which shall remain in full force and effect.
F. Violations and penalties. Any person who violates
the provisions of this section shall be subject to a fine of not more
than $50 or imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not more
than 15 days, or both. In addition, any person who parks in violation
of this section shall be subject to having the vehicle towed to a
place designated by the Chief of Police and liable for reasonable
towing charges in accordance with law.
