The following charges shall be made as a flat rate for the following:
A. 
All one-family houses using a three-quarter-inch connection: $18 per year.
B. 
All two-family houses using a three-quarter-inch connection: $27 per year.
C. 
All three-family houses using a three-quarter-inch connection: $36 per year.

A. 
Water rates where a meter is installed shall be $5.60 per thousand gallons. The water rate is in addition to the minimum fixed service charge as set forth in § 241-52.
B. 
If a water bill is not paid within 30 days of the date of billing, interest shall be charged on such delinquent water bill at the rate of 8% per annum on the first $1,500 of delinquency and at the rate of 18% per annum on any amount in excess of $1,500 and such interest shall be calculated from the due date until the date of actual payment.
C. 
In the event that payment for water charges is in arrears for 30 days from date of billing, the Borough shall send a delinquent notice, via regular mail, to the owner, occupier, user or responsible party being billed. If the water charges remain in arrears after 150 days, a notice and door tag shall be posted at the property to terminate water service. Water service will not be reinstated until all charges including interest are paid in full by cash, money order or certified bank check. Any unpaid balances may be subject to the annual Borough Tax Sale as per state statute.
D. 
Interest charged for delinquent water bills may be waived by the Tax Collector for extraordinary and/or exceptional circumstances.
E. 
Water shut offs shall not occur between November 15 and March 15 regardless of delinquent payments.
A. 
Any person or persons, firm or corporation desiring to have a test of a meter made will be required to make application therefor to the Water Department, which application shall be accompanied with a fee of $35. If a meter requested to be tested records accurately, the fee of $35 will be retained by the Water Department, but in the event that the meter records incorrectly, the fee will be returned by the Department to the applicant.
B. 
Service calls. There will be no charge for turning water service on or off Monday through Friday, when performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Requests for turning water service on or off after the above stated hours or on Saturdays or Sundays will be charged a fee of $100. Requests for turning water service on holidays shall be charged a fee of $175.

Use of fire hydrant for other than fire purposes shall be with the approval of the Superintendent of the Department of Public Works or his/her designee, at the rate of $30 per hour or fraction thereof, for each hydrant.
Residential single-family dwelling, $15 per dwelling unit; multiple dwelling, first unit $15. Each unit thereafter, $10 per dwelling unit.
The Borough reserves the right to decrease or limit the quantity of water used, whenever in the judgment of the Department it is necessary or expedient to do so.
The Borough reserves the right to add to or modify its rules and regulations and rates at any time.
Requests for hydrant flow tests will be charged a fee of $40.
