The respective statutory agencies are allocated
and assigned to the supervision of the Mayor or of the Council, as
the case may be, in accordance with and dependent upon which of them
is the appointing authority. Statutory agencies are as follows:
A. Library. The public library as heretofore established
and empowered pursuant to law (N.J.S.A. 40:54-1 et seq.) is continued.
B. Board of Adjustment. The Board of Adjustment is continued
pursuant to law (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-69).
C. Municipal Court. The Municipal Court as heretofore
established and empowered pursuant to law (N.J.S.A. 2A:8-1 et seq.)
is continued, and the Judge shall hereafter be appointed by the Mayor
with the advice and consent of the Council.
D. Planning Board. The Planning Board as heretofore established
and empowered pursuant to law (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-23) is continued.
E. Housing Authority. The Housing Authority as heretofore
established and empowered pursuant to law is continued, and the members
thereof shall be appointed by the Council.
F. Alcoholic beverage control. The local issuing authority
for purposes of alcoholic beverage control shall be the Council pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 33:1-19.
