As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
PRIVATE ROAD OR LANE
Any road or lane owned or in the control of a private individual,
group of individuals, associations, organizations not of a public
entity.
All private roads and lanes shall be maintained
so as to allow free and unobstructed access of emergency vehicles.
All trees shall be kept clear to a height of
12 feet in height. All vegetation and other obstructions shall be
kept four feet back from the driving surface.
All ruts and potholes shall be filled in as
soon as possible so as to not interfere with access of emergency vehicles.
The Bureau of Fire Prevention shall have jurisdiction
for policing and issuing private roads and lanes violations.
Any person or persons who violate any of the
provisions of this article shall be subject to a fine of not less
than $250 or more than $500 for each such violation. Said fines shall
be imposed on complaint and conviction in the Municipal Court of the
Township Franklin. All fines and penalties shall be paid to the Franklin
Township Fire District No. 1.
