There shall be a Division of Parks and Recreation
of the Borough which shall have jurisdiction over all business pertaining
to parks and recreation. The Chairperson of the Division shall be
a member of the Council designated by the Mayor.
The Division of Parks and Recreation shall be
responsible for the operation and maintenance of all Borough property,
including buildings, parking lots, parks, playgrounds, tennis courts
and swimming pools.
Within the Division of Parks and Recreation
there shall be a Recreation Department which shall conduct a year-round
recreation program under the supervision of the Recreation Director
and his or her staff.
There is hereby established within the Division
of Parks and Recreation a Recreation Advisory Committee which shall
consist of 12 members. One of the members shall be a member of the
Board of Education selected by it. One of the members shall be the
Chairperson of the Division of Parks and Recreation. Members shall
serve for terms of one year and until their successors are appointed
and qualified.
The Division of Parks and Recreation shall have
the services of the personnel of the Division of Public Works.
