For the purpose of this chapter, the Borough of Glen Rock is hereby divided into 12 zone districts and two overlay zone districts, known as follows:

The Zone Map delineating the above districts and entitled "Zone Map of the Borough of Glen Rock, Bergen County, New Jersey," October 1982, and marked Schedule A shall be attached to this chapter and is hereby declared to be a part hereof,[1] and the zones so designated on such map are hereby declared to be a part hereof. Where the district boundary lines do not coincide with the lot lines or the center lines of streets or alleys as they existed at the time of the adoption of this chapter or where the same are not designated on the map by measurements or dimensions, the boundary lines shall be deemed to be 175 feet back from the center line of the nearest public street, except as provided in rezoning descriptions included on the Zone Map.

Where a district boundary line as herein established divides a lot which was in a single ownership and so recorded at the time of the enactment of this chapter, the use authorized thereon and the other district requirements applying to the least restricted portion of such lot under this chapter shall be considered as extending to the entire lot, provided that the more restricted portion of such lot shall be entirely within 25 feet of the dividing district boundary line. The use so extended shall be deemed to be conforming.
