The Township of Kingwood hereby authorizes the
entry into a joint municipal agreement with the Township of Franklin
and the Township of Delaware for limited, joint road maintenance and
construction purposes as deemed appropriate and beneficial by the
management committee to be established thereunder. This agreement
is authorized and governed by N.J.S.A. 40:48B-1 et seq. and shall
be subject to approval by resolution of the governing bodies of each
Township prior to its execution by the Mayor and Clerk of the Township
of Kingwood.
This article shall take effect immediately upon
final adoption and publication according to law; but shall remain
inoperative until the adoption of a reciprocal ordinance by the Township
of Franklin and the Township of Delaware providing substantially the
same terms and conditions as set forth herein. In addition, the joint
municipal agreement shall only become effective upon the document
being signed by the Mayors of the Township of Kingwood and the Township
of Franklin and the Township of Delaware pursuant to applicable state
statute.
