The office of the Tax Collector of the Borough
of Stanhope shall be located at the Stanhope Municipal Building, No.
77 Main Street, Stanhope, New Jersey, from and after the effective
date of this Article.
All of the municipal business of the Tax Collector
shall be conducted at that office.
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Stanhope
shall designate, post and otherwise publicize the days of the week
and the hours on such days during which said office shall be open
for the conduct of such business, which hours and days shall be, as
nearly as may be feasible, five (5) hours per day during five (5)
days per week.
All of the books, records, data, accounts, maps
and papers relating to the conduct of municipal business by the Tax
Collector shall be kept in the vault within said Municipal Building
for safekeeping.
The Tax Collector shall deposit regularly, in
a banking institution designated by resolution of the governing body,
all moneys received by such Collector.
