The office of the Tax Assessor of the Borough
of Stanhope shall be located at the Stanhope Municipal Building, No.
77 Main Street, Stanhope, New Jersey, from and after the effective
date of this Article.
Except to the extent that the conduct of the
municipal business by the Tax Assessor requires his presence and attendance
elsewhere, the municipal business of said Tax Assessor shall be conducted
at said office hereinabove designated.
The Tax Assessor shall designate, post and otherwise
publicize the days of the week and the hours on such days during which
said office shall regularly be open for the conduct of such business,
which hours and days shall, as nearly as is feasible, be such as to
accommodate reasonably the needs of those members of the public who
desire to transact municipal business with the Assessor.
All of the books, records, data, accounts, maps
and papers relating to the conduct of municipal business by the Tax
Assessor shall be kept in the vault within said Municipal Building
for safekeeping.
