This Article shall not be deemed to apply to or include private swimming
pools.
As used in this Article, words and terms shall be as defined by the
New Jersey Sanitary Code, Chapter IX, Public Recreational Bathing.
Pursuant to the authority provided by the New Jersey Sanitary Code,
Chapter IX, Public Recreational Bathing, the licensing procedures for public
recreational bathing places shall be as set forth herein.
No person or persons shall locate and construct, alter or operate a
public recreational bathing place until the permits or licenses required therefor
by the New Jersey Sanitary Code, Chapter IX, Public Recreational Bathing,
have been issued by the Borough of Stanhope Department of Health.
A fee for each permit, license or inspection hereinafter identified
shall be required in the amount indicated for each prior to the issuance or
performance of same.
A.
Permits to locate and construct or alter a public recreational
bathing place shall expire nine (9) months subsequent to issuance unless extended
by the issuing authority for cause.
B.
Licenses issued for the operation of a public recreational
bathing place shall expire on May 1 following the date of issuance.
C.
Application for license renewal shall be
submitted, together with the appropriate license fee, prior to the start of
operation in each new license year.
A permit or license required under this Article may be denied, suspended
or revoked by the Health Officer for failure to comply with any provision
of the Code of Stanhope or the New Jersey Sanitary Code relative to public
recreational bathing.
