A Police Department shall be established under
the direction of the Select Board. The Board shall appoint a Chief
of Police and such other police officers as it deems necessary, and
it shall fix their compensation within the limits of an annual aggregate
appropriation made for such purpose.

The Select Board may make suitable regulations
governing the Police Department and the officers thereof.
The Chief of Police shall be in immediate control
of all Town property used by the Department.
The Chief of Police shall have authority over
the police officers of the Department.
