Skateboarding within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Snow Hill is strictly prohibited, except that skateboarders shall be permitted to skateboard on the sidewalks in front of their own residences and/or in areas designated by the Mayor and Council during the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the days of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the days of Saturday and Sunday.

The Snow Hill Police Department shall enforce this chapter in the following manner.
A. 
Offenders under the age of 18 shall be punished as follows:
(1) 
First offenders shall be issued a warning to cease the prohibited activity.
(2) 
Second offenders shall pay a fine of $15 and shall have their skateboards confiscated until such fine is paid.

(3) 
Third offenders shall be turned over to the proper Worcester County Juvenile Authorities for proper disciplinary punishment.
B. 
Offenders over the age of 18 shall be punishable as follows:
(1) 
First offenders shall be issued a warning to cease the prohibited activity.
(2) 
Second offenders shall have their skateboards confiscated by the Police Department.
(3) 
Three or more offenses shall constitute a municipal infraction and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $400 nor less than $25.
