The salary of the Orphans Court Judges for Talbot County shall be established at the beginning of each term, at $5,500, to include an annual cost-of-living increase of 2%. The Chief Judge shall receive an additional $500 per annum. Once established, the salary of the Orphans Court Judges shall not be increased or decreased during the remainder of the term of office.
In accordance with Article III, Section 35, of the Maryland Constitution, any increase or decrease in compensation is to become effective for the Orphans Court Judges' term beginning in or after the year 2006.

The salary of the Talbot County State's Attorney shall be established in accordance with Md. Code Ann., Criminal Procedure Art., § 15-421.
