The Wicomico County Planning and Zoning Commission created by Ordinance
No. 6 on October 25, 1949, be and the same is hereby dissolved.
There is hereby created, effective on March 1, 1954, a Wicomico County
Planning and Zoning Commission.
Said Commission shall have such authority as is now or may be hereafter
conferred upon it by any federal, state, county or other law, regulation or
ordinance.

The Wicomico County Planning and Zoning Commission shall consist of
seven members, one of whom shall be designated as Chairman. All members shall
serve terms of five years or until their successors are appointed, and all
members shall be eligible for reappointment. All members shall be appointed
by the Wicomico County Executive and confirmed by the County Council and may
be appointed for staggered terms so that all appointments shall not terminate
at the same time.
Said Commission is hereby authorized to proceed to organize and function
as a Planning and Zoning Commission within the contemplation of the aforesaid
law.
The County Attorney for Wicomico County or his duly designated Assistance
County Attorney shall serve as legal counsel to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
