Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former Ch. 52,
Municipal Court, which was comprised of Art. I, General Provisions,
adopted 12-18-1950 by Ord. No. 132; Art. II, Senior Deputy Court Clerk,
adopted 11-16-1981 by Ord. No. 808-81; and Art. III, Municipal Court
Director, adopted 12-20-1993 by Ord. No. 1161-93.
Effective January 1, 2017, or upon the approval of the Township of Hamilton Regional Municipal Court by the State of New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts, the Municipal Court of the Township of Hamilton is hereby abolished and §§ 52-1 through 52-13 of the Code of the Township of Hamilton shall be and are hereby repealed in their entirety and replaced by the following new sections establishing the Township of Hamilton Regional Municipal Court.

A Joint Municipal Court is hereby established pursuant to the
provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1, et seq., as amended and supplemented,
consisting of the Town of Hammonton and Hamilton Township (the "Participating
Municipalities"). The Joint Municipal Court is created in accordance
with a certain Agreement for Joint Municipal Court for the Municipalities
of the Town of Hammonton and Hamilton Township dated April 5, 2023,
and fully executed in May of 2023.
