The Township Council of the Township of Hardyston has determined that the municipality can best be served by entering into a certain contract for local public health services whereby Sparta Township will furnish supervised public health services of a technical and professional nature pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:3A2-1 et seq., and the Local Board of Health is in agreement; and Sparta Township has the necessary licensed personnel to carry out those core public health activities required and mandated by the aforesaid statute; and the Interlocal Services Act[1] requires that any contract adopted under said statutory scheme be authorized by ordinance.

A certain contract for local public health services between the Board of Health of the Township of Hardyston and Sparta Township be and the same is hereby authorized.
Said contract shall be effective from January 1, 1978, and the services to be provided thereunder shall be paid for by the Township Board of Health to Sparta Township, based upon a certain formula set by Sparta Township which is directly determined upon its actual experience in costs necessary to provide the total of the core services for the Township of Hardyston, which said sum shall be included in the Board of Health budget.
