[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee

There is hereby created, pursuant to the General
Public Assistance Law, N.J.S.A. 44:8-107 et seq., a Local Assistance
Board for this Township.
Such Board shall consist of three persons. In
accordance with the foregoing law, at least one of such persons shall
be a woman, and they all shall be appointed by the Mayor of this Township
upon the approval of the Township Committee. They shall serve without
compensation but shall be allowed their necessary and actual expenses.
The term of one member of such board shall be for one year, and such
member may be appointed from among the membership of the Township
Committee. The terms of the other members shall be two years each,
expiring in alternate years. Of the members first appointed, the term
of the member appointed from the Township Committee shall expire on
January 1, 1982, as shall be term of one of the other members; and
the term of the third member shall expire on January 1, 1983. Thereafter,
the term of each member shall begin on the first day of January, and
such term shall be for the period of one year or two years, as stated
above.
