For the purposes of this chapter, the words and terms used herein
and in N.J.S.A. 33:1-1 to 33:1-96 shall be deemed to have the meanings
ascribed to them in N.J.S.A. 33:1-1.
This chapter is for the purpose of regulating the sale and transportation
of alcoholic beverages in the Town, in accordance with the provisions
of N.J.S.A. 33:1-1 to 33:1-96, as amended, and in accordance with
the rules and regulations issued or to be promulgated by the State
Commissioner of Alcoholic Beverage Control applicable thereto.

A. No retail
licensee for Consumption (31, 32 or 33) shall sell or serve any alcoholic
beverages before 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday or Saturday, nor before 12:00 noon and 2:00 a.m.
on Sunday. Further, on New Year' s Eve, the licensee may remain open
an additional three hours from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Also, please
note that the hours mentioned refer to Eastern Standard Time or daylight
saving time, whichever time shall be then in effect and shall apply
hereto.

liquors in original containers [Distribution (44) - package goods]
before 9:00 a.m. and after 10:00 p.m. on any day of the week.

It shall be unlawful for a person under the legal age for purchasing
alcoholic beverages to enter any premises licensed for the retail
sale of alcoholic beverages for the purpose of purchasing or having
served or delivered to him any alcoholic beverage.

It shall be unlawful for a person under the legal age for purchasing
alcoholic beverages to consume any alcoholic beverage on premises
licensed for the retail sale of alcoholic beverages, or to purchase,
attempt to purchase or have another purchase for him any alcoholic
beverage.

It shall be unlawful for a person to misrepresent or misstate
his age or the age of any other person for the purpose of inducing
any retail licensee or an employee of a retail licensee to sell, serve
or deliver any alcoholic beverage to a person under the legal age
for purchasing alcoholic beverages.

It shall be unlawful for any person of the legal age for purchasing
alcoholic beverages to obtain or purchase for any person under the
legal age for purchasing alcoholic beverages, or furnish to or sell
to any such person, any alcoholic beverage in the Town for the use
or benefit of any such person.
No sales of alcoholic beverages for consumption on any premises
licensed under this chapter shall be made on credit, nor shall sales
of any alcoholic beverages be made to any minor, mental defective
or habitual drunkard; provided that such prohibition against sales
on credit shall not apply to club licenses.
No person shall be served in any back room or side room of any
premises licensed under this chapter which is not open to the use
of the public generally, except that guests may be served in public
dining rooms; provided, also, that this prohibition shall not apply
to club licenses.
No person, except an officer or other person authorized by and
acting pursuant to instructions from such officer, so doing in the
course of and for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this
chapter or of the provisions of N.J.S.A. 33:1-1 to 33:1-96, shall
knowingly purchase, receive or procure any illicit beverage.
No person shall sell, possess, distribute or transport any illicit
beverage within the Town.
