[Adopted 7-18-1977 by Ord. No. 14-77 (Ch.
104A of the 1967 Code)]
No person, firm or corporation, the owner, tenant
or occupant of any premises abutting on any street, shall throw, place
or deposit any snow or ice into or upon any street in said Township,
it being the intent and purpose of this provision to prohibit all
persons from throwing, casting, placing or depositing snow and ice
upon the streets in the Township of Jefferson.

The enforcement of this article shall be by
the Director of Public Works or any police officers of the Township
of Jefferson who shall cause suitable inspections to be made, where
appropriate, relative to compliance with this article and/or to investigate
complaints relative to noncompliance with this article, and bring
complaints in the Municipal Court of the Township of Jefferson for
all violations.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof,
be fined an amount not to exceed $500 or be imprisoned for a term
not to exceed 90 days, or both; and each and every day in which said
violation exists shall constitute a separate violation.
