The Chief of Police and Lieutenant in the Borough of Kinnelon shall receive and be deemed to have received the benefit of the same sick leave policy as negotiated between the Borough of Kinnelon and the Kinnelon Borough Regular Police Officers Association as more specifically set forth in a certain memorandum agreement between the Borough of Kinnelon, Morris County, New Jersey and the Kinnelon Borough Regular Police Officers Association, January 1, 1982, through December 31, 1983, and any subsequent amendments or modifications thereto. This provision shall be deemed to be retroactive to the extent that the Chief of Police and the Lieutenant shall enjoy the sick leave benefits set forth in said section from the same point that the other employees covered under said agreement and any prior agreement in connection therewith received.
