There is hereby created the position of Fire
Protection Subcode Official of the Township of Little Egg Harbor.
A.
Under the direction of the Construction Official,
the Fire Protection Subcode Official shall be responsible for administering
the fire protection subcode of the State Uniform Construction Code
within the concerned jurisdiction, inspect and/or supervise the inspection
of construction projects underway to ensure that compliance with plans
and specifications for fire protection approved in accordance with
the State Uniform Construction Code is achieved. The Fire Protection
Subcode Official shall also perform other related work as required.
B.
To be appointed to the position of Fire Protection
Subcode Official, an individual shall possess the following:
(1)
A valid license as a fire protection subcode official
of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Community Affairs.
(2)
A driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the
operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary
to perform the essential duties of the position.
The Fire Protection Subcode Official shall be
appointed by the Township Committee and shall serve for a term of
four years, commencing on January 1 of the year of appointment and
ending on December 31 of the fourth year, or until a successor shall
be appointed and qualified.
