There is hereby created the position of Assistant
Zoning Officer of the Township of Little Egg Harbor.
A.
Under the direction of the Zoning Officer, the Assistant
Zoning Officer shall examine the working plans of proposed buildings
for their compliance with state, county, and local zoning laws, ordinances,
rules and regulations. The Assistant Zoning Officer shall also perform
such other related work as required.
B.
To be appointed to the position of Assistant Zoning
Officer, an individual shall possess the following:
(1)
Two years of experience in the preparation and revision
of building construction plans and specifications or in the full-time
inspection and enforcement of zoning and/or building construction
laws and regulations.
(2)
A driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the
operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary
to perform the essential duties of the position.
The Assistant Zoning Officer shall be appointed
by the Township Committee and shall serve for a term of one year,
commencing on January 1 of the year of appointment and ending on December
31 of the same year, or until a successor shall be appointed and qualified.
