The boundary limits of the Borough of Bridgeport are hereby established as a zone in which motor vehicles may remain standing without lights, and all highways within such boundary limits are hereby designated as highways where motor vehicles may remain standing without lights.
Wherever a space shall be marked off on any highway for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle there parked shall be parked within the lines bounding such space.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the highways or parts thereof described below except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all highways or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.

A. 
Handicapped parking. It is unlawful for any person to park an unauthorized vehicle in a parking zone that is marked for handicapped parking only, whether said zone is located on public or private property.
(1) 
An unauthorized vehicle is one which does not bear registration plates issued to handicapped persons as prescribed under the Vehicle Code or a vehicle bearing such plates but which is operated by a person who is not handicapped or disabled.
(2) 
Any person who shall violate this section of the chapter shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50.
B. 
Fire zone.
(1) 
It is unlawful for any person to park a vehicle in an area that is marked as a fire zone.
(2) 
a. Any person who shall violate this provision of the chapter shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25.

A. 
Spaces at the Mill Street Parking Lot are designated as follows:
(1) 
Designated spaces for the Mayor, Chief of Police, Borough Manager and Codes Official.
(2) 
All remaining spaces are for use by the public.
B. 
Spaces at the York Alley Parking Lot are designated as follows:
(1) 
Designated spaces for Public Works (three spaces), Police Department (three spaces), and Borough Hall Leasing Agency(ies) (four spaces).
(2) 
All remaining spaces are for use by the public.
C. 
The Borough shall post signs within the Mill Street and York Alley Parking Lots to identify individually assigned spaces and other parking restrictions as required by this chapter.
D. 
The Mill Street and York Alley Parking Lots shall be used for passenger motor vehicles only. No trailers, hitched or unhitched, shall be authorized to park in the Mill Street and/or York Alley Parking Lots.

A. 
Definitions. For the purposes of this section, the following words and terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them herein:
ENFORCEMENT AGENCY
The Borough of Bridgeport Police Department shall be designated as the enforcement agency under this section.
LARGE VEHICLE
(1) 
Any truck, trailer, semitrailer, recreational vehicle or other vehicle in excess of 80 inches width, or having a registered gross weight in excess of 8,000 pounds; and/or
(2) 
Any truck, trailer, semitrailer, or vehicle in excess of 20 feet in length, alone or in combination with any other vehicle; and/or
(3) 
Any truck, trailer, semitrailer, or vehicle in excess of eight feet in height; and/or
(4) 
Any vehicle, regardless of size, that causes any visual obstruction that would create a hazard to the public safety and welfare.
(a) 
In determining whether a vehicle causes a visual obstruction that would create a hazard to the public safety and welfare pursuant to Subsection C(4) above, relevant factors shall include, but not be limited to, the location of the vehicle in relation to an intersection, whether the vehicle is parked on an angle, and the type, size and location of the items stored, carried, fixed or attached to any portion of the exterior of the vehicle, which obstruct the view of emergency personnel from being able to see any property.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
A vehicle used customarily for human inhabitation or recreational activities during tours or vacation periods, including, but not limited to, travel homes, travel trailers, motor homes, truck campers, tent campers, trailers, boats and trailers, snowmobiles and trailers, and any similar vehicle.
B. 
General rule. No person shall park or store any large or recreational vehicle, upon any street, alley or highway within the physical boundaries of the Borough of Bridgeport, nor shall any trailer be left remaining on any street, alley or highway without being attached to a motorized vehicle.
C. 
Exceptions. The general rule established in Subsection B above shall not apply to:
(1) 
Any municipal or other governmental vehicle or emergency vehicles engaged in the performance of their official duties.
(2) 
Public utility company vehicles engaged in any public utility work.
(3) 
Any commercial vehicle actively engaged in making local deliveries or rendering service.
(4) 
Recreational vehicles shall be permitted to be parked for a period of time not to exceed 48 hours. The exception does not apply to any recreational vehicle that causes a visual obstruction as defined herein or the width obstructs the free passageway of vehicles upon the roadway. Boats and other marine vessels must be attached to another vehicle to be exempt under these exemptions.
(5) 
Any construction vehicle parking within an active work zone.
D. 
Violations and penalties. Any person, firm or corporation who violates this subsection shall, upon summary conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine up to $200 for each violation and for each day of continuing or repeated violation, plus costs of towing, storage and prosecution.
