As a further condition of any permit for the demolition of any building that may be required under any other chapter of this Code or as may be required by the Construction Official or any Subcode Official of the Hasbrouck Heights Construction Code Enforcing Agency, public notice shall be given of the intention to so demolish such a building. Such notice shall be in writing and given to the owners of all real property shown on the current Tax Assessment Map of the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights to be located within 200 feet in all directions of the perimeter of the property upon which such demolition is proposed, shall be addressed to the owners of such property as the names and addresses thereof are indicated on the current tax duplicates of the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights, and shall be dispatched by certified mail/return receipt requested. The notice shall particularly describe the property upon which the demolition is to be undertaken both by its current lot and block designation and by its street address and shall indicate the estimated date or dates on which such demolition is to occur. Said notice shall further be published in the official newspaper of the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights under the title "Public Notice of Intention to Demolish a Building" once at least 10 days prior to the commencement of the proposed demolition. The person, firm or corporation serving and causing the publication of such notices shall file an affidavit of proof in respect thereto in the office of the Hasbrouck Heights Construction Code Enforcing Agency.[1]
