There shall be a Conservation Commission consisting of seven members appointed by the Select Board and who may be removed by said Board pursuant to the provisions of MGL c. 40, § 8C. The Commission shall elect by majority vote from among the members a Chair and a Co-Chair, each for a term of one year.
The Conservation Commission shall have the duties and authorities as set forth in MGL c. 40, § 8C, and any other applicable law or regulation, and without intending to limit those duties and authorities thereby created, it shall also be the duty of the Conservation Commission to:
A. 
Advise other officers and agencies of the town, if so requested by any such officer or agency, in the use of land owned or controlled by the town.
B. 
Administer the provisions of Chapter 192, Wetlands.
