The SF Single-Family Residential District is
intended to provide areas for single-family residential development
on larger lots than provided elsewhere in the Village. This district
is intended to be generally consistent with areas which are designated
on the Village's adopted Master Plan as "low-density single-family
residential."
In the Single-Family Residential District, no
building or land shall be used and no building shall be erected except
for one or more of the following uses:
B. State-licensed family day-care homes.
C. State-licensed residential facility [except as for
those excluded in Section 206.(2) of Act 110 of the Public Acts of
Michigan 2006, as amended].
E. Local utility structures in accordance with §
515-159.
F. Uses which, in the opinion of the Planning Commission
after finding of fact, are similar to the above principal permitted
uses.
The following special land uses may be permitted only after review and approval by the Planning Commission, subject to the requirements and standards of Article
XX and the submission of a site plan conforming with the requirements of §
515-100:
D. Commercial outdoor recreation (§
515-133).
E. Equestrian stables and riding academies (§
515-138).
F. Public educational institutions (§
515-137).
H. Nursery/child-care centers and group day-care facilities (§
515-149).
I. One accessory apartment in a single-family home (§
515-123).
M. State-licensed group day-care homes (§
515-142).
N. Utility transmission systems and structures (§
515-159).
O. Uses which the Planning Commission determines are similar to and compatible with the intent of this section and the special land uses in Article
XX.
Accessory buildings, structures and uses shall be permitted in accordance with §
515-78. In addition, the following accessory structures and uses may also be permitted subject to the provisions of this section:
A. Garage and yard sales in accordance with §
515-110.
B. Home occupations in accordance with §
515-105.
C. Private residential ponds in accordance with §
515-103.
