There shall be a Department of Recreation, which shall consist of the Director of Recreation and such other officers and employees as may be authorized and appointed by the Town Board.
A. 
The Town Board shall appoint the Director of Recreation for a term of one year, and his salary shall be fixed by the Town Board.
B. 
The Director of Recreation shall be a person trained and experienced in recreation activities.
C. 
The Director of Recreation, under the general supervision of the Town Board, shall be responsible for organizing and conducting a Town-wide recreation program, and he shall coordinate and supervise the use of recreation equipment and areas to facilitate the program. He shall be responsible for:
(1) 
Organizing and conducting recreational programs for all age groups in various parts of the Town and village, including activities upon the parks, tennis courts, swimming pool, skating rinks and other recreational facilities owned or controlled by the Town or made available to the Town by agreement or contract.
(2) 
Promoting, sponsoring and managing public concerts, entertainments and similar recreational programs.
(3) 
Organizing and conducting such recreational activities as are authorized by the Town Board to be conducted in public school buildings with the consent of the School Board.
(4) 
Such other duties as may be assigned by the Town Board or Town ordinances.
