Public Library vacation schedule — See Ch. 35.
The Public Library shall be under the supervision of a Board of 12 Trustees.
Four members of the Board of Library Trustees shall be appointed each year in January by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Council, for a term of three years next ensuing.

The Board of Trustees for the Public Library shall, in September of each year, organize itself as a board and choose a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer from its own number. Five members of said Board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
The Board of Trustees for the Public Library shall appoint a Librarian and such subordinate officers as it may deem necessary and fix their compensation.
The Board of Trustees for the Public Library shall have the care and supervision, custody and management of the Free Public Library building and books and of all property of the City relating thereto, with full power to make needful regulations therefor, and the expenditure of all money raised or appropriated for its support and maintenance or to be expended therefor in accordance with the provisions of any gift or bequest.
