B.
No provision or requirement of the Building Code shall
in any way be construed to alter or modify any of the legal regulations
now existing or hereafter enacted and coming under the control of
the Department of Public Safety for regulation and construction of
public buildings, garages, boilers and elevators.
When any work is being done contrary to the
provisions of the Building Code, the Building Inspector shall order
such work stopped and require such work to be constructed in accordance
with the Building Code. Such order shall be in writing and service
may be made upon any person doing or causing the work to be done.
Neglect or failure to comply with any written order of the Building
Inspector shall constitute a violation thereof. The issuance of a
building permit shall not be construed as an approval of a violation
of the Building Code.
