Editor's Note: This article was adopted as
an amendment to the State Environmental Code, Title V, Minimum Requirements
for the Subsurface Disposal of Sanitary Sewage, 310 CMR 15.02 and
15.06.
All multifamily dwellings shall have individual
on-site septic systems for each unit.
The septic tank shall have an effective liquid
capacity of not less than 150% of the design flow estimated, but in
no case less than 1,500 gallons. This minimum gallonage requirement
for septic tanks shall also apply to any and all single-family units.
