The Town of Salisbury, Massachusetts, is hereby divided into 10 zoning districts to be designated as follows:

These zoning districts are noted on a map titled "Town of Salisbury Zoning" dated February 6, 2001, prepared by the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, with the boundaries designated thereon, which map is hereby declared to be part of this bylaw and shall be on file in the office of the Building Inspector of Salisbury who shall be responsible for its maintenance and any authorized amendments thereto.[2]

Modify the boundary of the Commercial (C) District in the area of Old Elm Street and Rabbit Road by including Lot Number 2 on Assessor's Map 10 and the adjacent section of Old Elm Street in the Commercial (C) District as shown on a map entitled "Proposed Zoning Change" dated April 14, 2008 which is on file with the Town Clerk and is hereby declared to be part of the Zoning Bylaw.

The following amendments to the Zoning Map were adopted on 10-26-2009:
(1) 
Add a new Water Resource District as an overlay district as shown on the map entitled “Water Resource District Overlay Salisbury, MA,” dated April 10, 2009, and deleting the Water Resource District Map dated May 1987.

Modify the boundary of the Light Industrial (I) District in the area of Rabbit Road by including Lot Number 30 on Assessor's Map 10 in the Light Industrial (I) District as shown on a map entitled “Proposed Zoning,” dated April 13, 2011, which is on file with the Town Clerk and is hereby declared to be part of the Zoning Bylaw.
H. 
The following amendments to the Zoning Map were adopted on 5-19-2014:

Establish a Medical Marijuana Overlay District (MMOD) in all land of the Commercial 3, Commercial 4 and Light Industrial Zoning Districts and portions of the Commercial and Commercial 2 Zoning Districts. The Medical Marijuana Overlay District does not include any portion of any parcel as follows: Assessor’s Map-Lot 36-32, 36-34, 36-36, 36-37, 36-38, 36-40, 36-42, 36-185, 36-186, and 36-187, nor any portion of any parcel located on Joy Road in the Commercial 2 Zoning District.

The following amendment to the Zoning Map was adopted on 5-16-2016:

Modify the boundary of the Commercial (C) District in the area of Main Street, as shown on a map entitled “Proposed Commercial District Zoning,” dated April, 2016, which is on file with the Town Clerk and is hereby declared to be part of the Zoning Bylaw.

The following amendments to the Zoning Map were adopted on 5-14-2018:

To include the Recreational Marijuana Overlay District.

Any boundary designated on the map as a street, railroad or water body shall be construed to mean the center line thereof. Any distance shown on the map shall be measured from the center line of the boundary as indicated above. Unless otherwise indicated, all district boundaries parallel to a street shall be 400 feet deep therefrom or from any intervening parallel district boundary line. The application of the district boundary lines shall be the responsibility of the Building Inspector.
