A. 
No person shall park a vehicle in any of the places set forth in this section. Vehicles found parked in violation of the provisions of this section may be removed by or under the direction of an officer and at the expense of the owner to a place where parking is permitted.
(1) 
Within an intersection.
(2) 
Upon any crosswalk.
(3) 
Upon any sidewalk.
(4) 
Upon any roadway where the parking of a vehicle will not leave a clear and unobstructed lane at least 12 feet wide for passing traffic.
(5) 
Upon any street or highway within 10 feet of a fire hydrant.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle other than one acting in an emergency to park such vehicle on any street having no parking signs for a period of time longer than 15 minutes.
A. 
Any vehicle located or parked within the limits of any way in the Town of Southwick which is interfering with the prompt and orderly removal or plowing of snow or the removal of ice from said way may be removed or caused to be removed by the Superintendent of Streets at the sole expense of the owner of said vehicle to some convenient place, including a public garage, by means of towing or otherwise.
B. 
Before the owner shall be permitted to remove a vehicle which has been towed or removed, he must:
(1) 
Furnish a satisfactory evidence to the Superintendent of Streets, or any other person in charge of the place or public garage, of his identity and ownership.
(2) 
Pay all charges for towing or removing said car and all storage charges, if any.
(3) 
Sign a written receipt acknowledging delivery of said vehicle.
If any vehicle found upon any street or highway in violation of any provisions of this Article or its location is deemed to be a hazard to the flow of traffic of such street or highway, it shall be moved under the direction of a police officer, and the person in whose name such vehicle is registered shall be held prima facie responsible for such a violation.
Any person violating any provisions of any rule, regulation or order regulating the parking of motor vehicles made by anybody authorized to make the same shall be dealt with as provided in MGL C. 90, § 20A, and any person violating any of the rules and regulations applicable to state highways made by the Department of Public Works of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under authority of MGL C. 85, § 2, shall be subject to the penalty provided in such rules and regulations (state law reference: authority to establish penalty for violation of bylaws regulating traffic, MGL C. 40, § 22).
