No person shall place any materials for building or any other purpose upon any public street within the Village without permission in writing from the Superintendent of Public Works and approved by the Board of Trustees. Any person to whom permission is granted shall cause all such materials to be enclosed within such sufficient guards as to secure public safety and shall at all times during the nighttime keep adequate warning lights or signals upon such grounds in such a manner as to give warning to all persons of the presence of said materials. All such building materials and all rubbish arising therefrom shall be removed from any public street at the expiration of the time limit in the above-mentioned permit or upon the revocation of such permit. Any such permit may be revoked without notice by the Superintendent of Public Works or the Board of Trustees at any time.
No person shall place any merchandise or obstruction of any kind upon any sidewalk upon the public streets of the Village. No person shall place, or suffer to remain, any barrel, crate, article or other obstruction upon any public street or place within the Village so as to obstruct the free passage of people, except while actually engaged in loading or unloading goods.
No person shall drive any vehicle, or allow any vehicle to stand, or lead, ride or drive any animal along or upon any public sidewalk within the Village, except as needed for maintenance thereof, also excepting baby carriages, invalid chairs, tricycles, bicycles with wheels of less than 20 inches and children's toys, and as provided in § 1225-a of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
No person shall erect any piazza, steps or obstruction of any kind, or suspend any sign or awning, or erect any pole, or extend any wire for telephone, telegraph or electric purposes in or over any street, sidewalk or other public place within the Village without the prior written permission of the Board of Trustees.
No person shall play ball or play in any other similar sport or contest in any public street of the Village.
No person shall construct any sidewalk on Village property or for public use except under the supervision of and in accordance with the specifications to be furnished by the Board of Trustees.
No person shall willfully, without lawful authority, interfere with, injure or damage any public building, structure, street sign, lamp or lamppost, traffic signal or device, or any other property of any kind whatsoever belonging to or under the control of the Village.
