The Town Board of the Town of Sweden has determined that the expense
of publication of local laws and ordinances in full in the official newspapers
of the Town, as required under the Town Law of the State of New York, has
increased and is likely to continue to do so in the future and that it is
desirable to keep such cost at a reasonable minimum while still supplying
sufficient notice to those affected by any and all changes, additions or amendments
to said ordinances and local laws.
It shall hereafter be lawful for the Town Clerk of the Town of Sweden
to publish a synopsis of a local law or ordinance in lieu of the entire text
of said local law or ordinance, setting forth in substance the purpose and
intent of the provisions adopted.
The Town Clerk shall have available a copy of the entire text of all
ordinances and local laws adopted pursuant to the provisions of this chapter
at the office of the Town Clerk for inspection by all persons during reasonable
business hours.
The Town Clerk of the Town of Sweden shall maintain at the office of
the Town Clerk an index of all such local laws and ordinances
so adopted.
