Township of Hatfield, PA Chapter 41 Police Department

§ 41-1 Definitions.

The following definitions shall apply to this chapter:

BOARD or BOARD OF TOWNSHIP COMMISSIONERS

Board of Commissioners of Hatfield Township.

CHIEF OF POLICE

Chief administrative officer of the Hatfield Township Police Department and a managerial employee.

LIEUTENANT

Assistant chief administrative officer of the Hatfield Township Police Department and a managerial employee.

PATROL OFFICER

Those members of the Hatfield Township Police Department that were previously designated as "patrolmen" or a "patrolman."

§ 41-2 Establishment of positions.

The Board hereby establishes, reenacts, reaffirms, and/or designates the following positions applicable to the Hatfield Township Police Department:

A. Chief of Police.

B. Corporal.

C. Sergeant.

D. Detective sergeant.

E. Lieutenant.

F. Patrol officer.

G. Probationary patrol officer (the time period of which is governed in the collective bargaining agreement).

H. Class B patrol officer.

I. Class A patrol officer.
