On January 23, 1987, by a Notice of Order issued by the Regional Traffic Engineer for the New York State Department of Transportation, the following speed limits were placed in effect:

A. Thirty mph within the Cornwall area, the boundaries of which are described in Subsection A(1), exclusive of the county roads and Town highways listed in Subsection A(2).

(1) Area description. The boundaries of the Cornwall area are the boundaries of the Town of Cornwall.

(2) The following county roads and Town highways are excluded from the above 30 mph speed limit regulation:

B. No parking on the paved area of any intersecting roads for a distance of 30 feet from a line drawn through the center point of the intersection and at right angles with the plane of the paved surface for the intersecting road where the vehicle is parked. It is the intention of this subsection to prohibit parking of motor vehicles on the paved surface of any road within 30 feet of the center line of the intersection between two intersecting roads.
