No person shall enter upon any public park of the Village except during the hours stated in § 230-14, Park hours, or while attending any Village-sponsored or -authorized event.
Subject to the provisions of Chapter 153, § 153-4, dogs on a leash shall be allowed in Waterfront Park during the hours stated in § 230-14, Park hours, seven days a week. The Board of Trustees shall have the right to prohibit dogs in Waterfront Park during certain holidays or during other special events.
Picnics are prohibited in all public parks of the Village except where specifically designated by the Village through an authorized agency.
No person, firm, association or corporation shall, without the written permission of the Village through an authorized agency, erect in any public park of the Village any structure, stand or platform, hold any meetings, perform any ceremonies, make a speech or exhibit to the public any dramatic performance, play, motion picture, circus, exhibition or entertainment.
All Village-owned parks shall be open daily from 5:00 a.m. until dusk daily and closed from dusk until 5:00 a.m., except that Waterfront Park shall be open from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. The Chief of Police is empowered to order the temporary closing of any Village park at any time if he/she shall determine that the public safety so requires.
