In light of the implementation of § 1402, Subdivision 3, of the New York State Real Property Tax Law, as set forth in Article IX of this chapter, which terminated the Village's status as an assessing unit, the Village adopts the exemption levels of the Town of Greenburgh as same may be duly amended by the Town of Greenburgh from time to time, for: i) the senior citizens exemption; ii) the veteran's alternative exemption; iii) the members of volunteer fire departments and ambulance companies exemption; and iv) the Cold War veterans exemption, each of which is to be applied for by qualified applicants in the Village of Dobbs Ferry.
Any and all qualified applicants for real property tax exemptions shall apply to the Town of Greenburgh for same, to the extent such exemptions are provided for in the Town of Greenburgh Town Code.
