The designation of on-street metered parking zones, and any subsequent amendments thereto, shall be made by resolution of the Dobbs Ferry Board of Trustees. A record of such metered parking zones shall be maintained with the official records of the Village.

Parking control devices shall be in effect in all on-street metered parking zones, and shall indicate the maximum permitted parking period, the fee and acceptable forms of payment. Only legal tender of the United States of America shall be used for the payment of parking fees. Parking fees shall be set and amended by the Board of Trustees in accordance with Chapter 175.

A. 
In all on-street metered parking zones and in any municipal parking area, the use of parking control devices is required on all days except Sunday and on those days on which holidays are observed by the Village of Dobbs Ferry.
B. 
Hours of operation for enforcement of parking in metered parking zones shall be established and amended by resolution of the Dobbs Ferry Board of Trustees, a record of which shall be maintained among the Village records by the Village Clerk.

In all on-street parking meter zones, vehicles shall be so parked that the entire vehicle is within the space indicated by pavement markings. Whenever use of a parking control device is required by this article, payment of the appropriate fee shall be made immediately after the vehicle is parked, and the vehicle shall be removed from the parking space immediately upon or before expiration of the time purchased or expiration of the maximum permitted parking period, whichever occurs first. The owner and/or operator of any vehicle found parked in violation of this article shall each be guilty of a violation punishable as provided in this chapter.

Village-owned vehicles are specifically exempt from the provisions of this article. Individuals who appear as scofflaws on the Village records are not eligible to obtain a parking permit.
