As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
BUSINESS
All corporations, partnerships, limited partnerships, proprietorships,
individuals and/or any other form of business entity engaged in commercial
industrial or activities defined in N.J.S.A. 40:52-1 within the Township
of Washington.
It shall be the duty of all businesses as defined herein to comply with the registration and annual reporting requirements set forth below in §
149-3.
Each and every business required under §
149-2 to comply with this section is hereby required annually to register with the Township Clerk or his/her designee. Said registration shall be on a form prescribed by the Township Clerk and shall include, among other things, the name of the business, its street address, its mailing address, and its telephone number. Said registration shall be completed by January 31 of each year.
Where this is no change with regard to the information contained
in a registration statement submitted for the preceding year, a business
shall not be required to reregister under § 1494, provided
that it submits a letter to the Township Clerk certifying that there
is no change in said information. Said letter shall be submitted by
January 31 of the applicable year. The registration shall then be
renewed for an addition year.
Any person or entity found guilty of violating any provision
of this chapter shall be subject to a fine for a first offense not
to exceed $25 and a fine not to exceed $100 for a second or subsequent
offense.
