The purpose of this article is to regulate traffic and to promote
vehicular safety under the statutory authority of Vehicle and Traffic
Law § 1660, Subdivision (a)1, by provision for the placement
of stop or yield signs at specified highway intersections.

The intersections referenced on Schedule A, dated March 21, 2012, and annexed hereto and incorporated
herein, as possessing stop signs are all hereby designated stop intersections
to be henceforth controlled by the stop signs situated at such intersections
as of the effective date of this article.

The intersections referenced on Schedule B, dated June 19, 2019, and annexed hereto and incorporated
herein, as possessing yield signs are all hereby designated yield
intersections to be henceforth controlled by the yield signs situated
at such intersections as of the effective date of this article.
Words used herein shall be as defined in the Vehicle and Traffic
Law of the State of New York.

Any violation of this article shall constitute a traffic infraction, subject to the penalties set forth in Article
VIII of this chapter.
