The Town of Deerpark, pursuant to the authority
granted by Agriculture and Markets Law § 305, Subdivision
6, as amended by Chapter 562 of the Laws of 1991, hereby intends to
extend the application of the agricultural exemption provided in the
Agriculture and Markets Law § 305, Subdivision 1, to include
the fire and ambulance districts within the Town of Deerpark
Pursuant to Local Law No. 9 of 1992 enacted
by the Legislature of the County of Orange, New York, where an agricultural
assessment has been established for real property within the Town
in accordance with the Agriculture and Markets Law of the State of
New York, such assessment shall be used for a benefit assessment or
a special ad valorem levy of a fire or ambulance district within the
Town.
This article shall take effect immediately and
shall apply to assessment rolls prepared on the basis of taxable status
dates occurring on or after January 1, 1993.
