[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Fairport 6-12-1995 by L.L. No. 2-1995 (Ch. 20 of the 1968 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
This chapter shall be known as the "Fee Law of the Village of Fairport."
The purpose of this chapter is to establish a means by which the Village of Fairport shall establish fees to be charged for services rendered by said Village.
All fees charged by the Village of Fairport for services rendered shall be set forth in a fee schedule adopted by resolution by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Fairport at the same time as it adopts the Village's annual budget.[1] Any change in the fee schedule shall be adopted by resolution of the Board of Trustees.

All fees enacted by the Village of Fairport shall be paid to the Village Clerk. There shall be a service charge imposed upon any person who tenders a check or other written order, payable to the Village of Fairport, the Fairport Municipal Commission or any other agency of the Village of Fairport, if said check or other written order is returned by a drawee bank for nonpayment due to insufficient funds. The amount of the service fee shall be set by the Village Board of Trustees.

The fees referenced herein shall be in addition to any reimbursement of consultant fees which may be required pursuant to Chapter 241, Reimbursement of Consultant Fees.

Any ordinance, local law or part thereof which conflicts in any way with this chapter, including, but not limited to, the Fee Law of the Village of Fairport and any fees established in any other provision of the Fairport Village Code in effect at the time of the adoption of this chapter, shall be and is hereby repealed.
