[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Schodack 2-13-1969

Effective January 1, 1970, and thereafter, the office of Town Superintendent
of Highways in the Town of Schodack shall be an appointive office.
This chapter shall be subject to a permissive referendum to be held
thereon as provided in Article 7 of the Town Law.[1]

Pursuant to §§ 82 and 90 of the Town Law, the Town Clerk
is hereby directed to post on the Town Clerk's bulletin board and publish
in the Troy Record, within 10 days from the adoption date of this chapter,
a notice which shall set forth the date of the adoption of this chapter and
an abstract of this chapter, concisely setting forth the purpose and effect
thereof and specifying that this chapter was adopted subject to a permissive
referendum.
