The purpose of this article is to promote and protect the public peace,
health, safety and welfare by providing the Deputy Village Treasurer the ability
to sign all village checks in the absence of the Village Treasurer. This article
is intended to ensure the payment of village obligations, including payroll
and other monetary liabilities.
A.
The Deputy Village Treasurer, a position appointed by
the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tarrytown, shall hereby have the power
to sign checks for the Village of Tarrytown in the absence or unavailability
of the Village Treasurer or when delegated by the Village Treasurer to do
so.
B.
The Deputy Village Treasurer shall have the power to
sign checks in the absence of the Village Treasurer or when this power is
delegated from the Village Treasurer to the Deputy Village Treasurer.
